Our story.

Before it poured lattes, this little building sold bait to folks fishing the ponds out back. We kept it standing.

We want this to be a small oasis, a safe haven, for the local residents of Spartanburg County.

Look at it now.

The same spot that was buried in tires and brush, from above, on a summer night.

How we got here.

  1. 1940s

    A bait and tackle shop

Locals stopped here for bait before heading out to fish the ponds off Bellew Carver Road.

  2. Later

    Lost to the brush

The land filled up with old tires, televisions and overgrowth. Developers nearly tore the building down.

  3. 2 years

    Restored, not replaced

The team cleared the land, rebuilt the shop around its history, and kept the pond right where it was.

  4. 2024

    Coffee by the pond

Doors opened July 5, 2024. Since then: a covered pavilion, lit paths, a dock, and a lot of lattes.
